Ha ha this is so creepy.
9 times out of 10 when I start a new project, I think to myself, “dude, this is totally not going to work.” In fact, I probably shouldn’t be showing you this because it’ll probably never be completed. I like taking in-progress pictures though because the journey from what’s in my head to what’s in my hands is a pretty interesting one so I always document just in case it works out. The idea and the real thing never match up. Well, maybe a little, but my “process” is fairly “organic” (which is code for “I make a lot of mistakes”).
This is supposedly going to be a book, btw. Using the word “book” pretty liberally obvs. At what point do they just become little paper (usually) sculptures or structures? Oh I guess that’s another debate.

Yeah, the Book vs Paper Objects debate, I’ve been asking myself about that recently as well. Especially when I look at people who do altered books by altering the actual structure thereof – does it stop being a book? I also have to wonder if Ms Gaylord’s Spiritual Books are technically “books” …
