new prismacolor pencils

I’ve been curious as to why Prismacolors are so friggin’ expensive ($60 for a set of 36). I recently signed up for Suzi Blu’s The Goddess & The Poet class, so I had an excuse to get some. She only suggests a few and you can buy them individually, but I figured I would splurge – plus I had the 40% off coupon.

Anyway, I’m convinced! I’ve only been working with them a little bit, but they are smooth and blendable and come in all sorts of colors. I’m a cheap-ass so until now I’ve been using crayola colored pencils (ha ha) – there is a huge difference. I may need to start investing in higher quality materials.

And that’s my first sketchbook moleskine too! I got a notebook one for Christmas, but the paper in that one is far too thin for journaling purposes. The sketchbook one has thicker paper – I don’t think it’s as thick as the watercolor paper I use in my journals, but it’s pretty solid and I love how smooth it is.

This is all I have done lately, ha! Better than nothing I suppose.

I’d hang that on my wall. I’m jealous of your skillz.
