My mom wants an altered book for xmas and when I asked her if she had any theme in mind she suggested something about how we create our own realities and/or are totally self-deluded. Which is obviously a great holiday theme. Anyway, I remembered that I had a book sitting around – sometimes I randomly pick books up with no idea in mind, just in case I want to alter them someday. The title of this book? Grand Deception. OMG it was meant to bee~~
This isn’t the first time I’ve bought something on a whim and then a couple weeks later it turns out to be exactly what I need for a certain project. It’s funny how that happens!
She also said I could get her gloves. I suggested I hollow out a book and put gloves in it, but she pointed out that such a thing would basically just be a box of gloves. Which I guess is pushing the boundaries of book art a little too far.
